Penetration Bitumen 80/100

Product Overview

Penetration Bitumen 80/100, Asphalt 80/100,  is a grade with intermediate ductility, falling between the lower ductility of grades like Penetration Bitumen 10/20 and 35/50, and the higher ductility of grades like Penetration Bitumen 160/220 and 200/300.

Bitumen 80/100 is produced through the vacuum bottom oxidation process. It is extracted from the distillation tower when its penetration falls within the range of 80 to 100 Deci millimeters.

Technical Specifications:

Penetration Bitumen 80/100 has a penetration degree ranging from 80 to 100 desi-millimeters and a softening point between 48 to 56 ℃. Its thermoplastic property means that higher temperatures result in softer bitumen, while lower temperatures lead to harder bitumen.

Applications of Asphalt 80/100:

Primarily used in road construction in colder areas, Asphalt 80/100 can also serve as an input for producing emulsion bitumen, cutback, and modified bitumen grades.

Packaging Options:

Available in New Steel Drums and Bulk quantities. In colder weather, it can be shipped in a jumbo bag, as low temperatures cause the bitumen to harden.
