Penetration Bitumen 60/70 has a needle penetration ranging from 60 to 70 deci-millimetres and a softening point between 49 to 56 ℃. It is a blend of asphaltene and maltene, exhibiting thermoplastic properties, becoming softer when heated and hardening when cooled.
Applications:
Primarily used in construction, Penetration Bitumen 60/70 finds applications in infrastructure and roofing. It is extensively utilized in road construction and the asphalt industry. While its use in roofing, sealing, and insulating industries is more limited, it serves as a primary material for producing asphalt mixtures, bitumen emulsions, cutback bitumen, and modified bitumen (MB).
