Penetration Bitumen 100/150

Product Overview

Penetration Bitumen 100/150

is a standard grade within its category, commonly referred to as a paving type, and is well-suited for road construction and pavement production. Like other grades, it is manufactured from vacuum bottom raw material. This grade can also be produced from the lower section of the distillation tower and is characterized by its penetration.

Understanding the relationship between temperature and viscosity is crucial for determining its performance factors.

Technical Specifications:

Penetration Bitumen 100/150 has a broader range of needle penetration compared to previous grades, ranging from 100 to 150 Deci millimeters. Its softening point falls between 39 and 47 ℃. This grade is temperature-dependent (thermoplastic), meaning it becomes softer at higher temperatures and harder at lower temperatures.

Applications:

Penetration Bitumen 100/150 can act as a Newton-type fluid at in-service temperatures, unlike modified bitumen. It is commonly used in road construction and repair, as well as in the production of seals and coatings. Additionally, it serves as a raw material for manufacturing polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) and various types of emulsion bitumen.

Packaging Options:

Available in New Steel Drums and Bulk quantities.
